The Performing Arts League is hosting a performance by Thomas West. We are celebrating his success as he performs Morales in the opera Carmen. Thomas won the performing Arts League Vocal Competition in 2013. The program will feature the famous German cycle Liederkreis Op. 39 by Robert Schuman alongside a set of Poulenc songs and concluding with three songs by American composer Wayne Oquin who wrote for Thomas a set of songs featuring Southern poets back when he was a student at Juilliard. There will be a reception afterwards.
There is no charge for this event. The Performing Arts League raises funds to promote youth involvement in the performing arts, so if you would like to make a donation, it will be welcomed. Come join us on March 31 and enjoy an afternoon of exceptional music. The location is Saint Paul's Episcopal Church on Pine St in Chattanooga, TN
