Grants

The purpose of the Performing Arts League Grant program is to encourage the expansion and development of projects that recruit, develop, or train young students for participation in the performance disciplines of Dance, Theatre, Instrumental and Vocal Music.
 
Grants are available to 501(c)3 organizations operating in Hamilton County that are active providers of ongoing programs that recruit, develop, or train young students for participation in the performance disciplines of Dance, Theater, Instrumental and Vocal Music.  However, only one grant award will be allocated per organization per year from the Performing Arts League.

Scholarships

The purpose of the Performing Arts League Scholarship program is to encourage individual development and training of student artists in the performance disciplines of Dance, Theater, Instrumental and Vocal Music.

Scholarships are available to students who are rising 8th – current 11th graders who are active participants in Hamilton County 501(c)3 performing arts organizations. More than one student within the organization may make one scholarship request each. Only one scholarship awarded will be allocated per student per year.

Funds were awarded to the following local performing arts organizations for youth programming:
  • Chattanooga Ballet for Summer Making Moves Program Expansion
  • Chattanooga Boys Choir for “Only Men Aloud!” tenor-bass festival
  • Chattanooga Theatre Centre Youth Theatre 2025-26 productions
  • Center for Creative Arts Dance Department to host Ignite! Youth Dance Festival in Fall 2025
  • Christian Family Theater for 2025-26 Youth Musical Theater Season
  • Eastlake Expression Engine for their Summer Intern program
  • Tivoli Theatre Foundation for Camp Broadway
  • String Theory for artist in residence educational community outreach
  • The Pop-Up Project for Summer Dance 2025

2025 SCHOLARSHIPS
Funds were awarded to provide individual scholarships for 21 Hamilton County student artists to attend

  • School of American Ballet Summer Intensive
  • National Junior Theater Festival/Atlanta  - 4 students
  • Joffrey Ballet South Summer Intensive
  • Southeastern Summer Theatre Institute
  • Louisville Ballet Summer Intensive - 2 students
  • AMDA Summer Conservatory
  • Chattanooga Ballet Summer Intensive - 2 students
  • Interlochen Musical Theater Camp
  • Stagedoor Manor Performing Training Center - New York
  • Belmont University Music Camp
  • Kansas City Ballet Summer Intensive -2 students
